About
Hi,

Welcome to the MyC4Watch webpage. Let me introduce myself: I'm Wouter Tromp, a Dutch Business Intelligence consultant, and have been using MyC4 for some months now. I started when I realized MyC4 was truly unique and I could even earn a few Euros while helping others with their business and thus their life. I was never a real fan of donating money, but MyC4 showed a really nice balance between donating and earning. It kind of became a hobby and naturally I wanted to know more about my investments. I had no idea how well I was doing compared to others, who where the big spenders and those who got the highest return on investment.

Information on this web page is based on active and repaid opportunities only. Cancelled and pending opportunities are not taken into account. Furthermore, the interest accrual calculations are based on the repayment plan. Actual deviations to the in repayment plan are not taken into account as well.

The accrued interest is calculated using the PMT formula commonly used in Excel with input based on Joerg Schwieder's Excel file (please refer to the myC4.com forums for more information). It uses information from opportunities, such as total and net invested amount, APR percentage etc.

The Rate of Return (ROR) is the total accrued interest of an investment based on the invested amount: ROR = Accrued / Amount.

The weighted average interest is calculated as follows: Weighted average interest = sum of invested amount * interest rate/ sum of invested amount.

User classification into three classes (A, B, C) is based on total invested amount where the following three categories are (arbitrarily) set:
Class A: Invested amount > 10.000 MyCredits
Class B: 10.000 <= Invested amount => 1.000 MyCredits
Class C: Invested amount < 1.000 MyCredits

The Repayment Rate is calculated by dividing the amount paid back by the business with the amount that should be paid back according to the repayment plan. Using the number of repayments (either normal or late) the amount of principal is calculated.

I have tried to extract as much information as possible from MyC4, but for obvious reasons anonymous bids could not be extracted. I have no way nor desire to break the wish of users to stay anonymous about their investments.

Note: this page cannot calculate the growth of your investment (or actual ROI). To state something relevant about your earnings over time I need the total uploaded amount of MyCredits to MyC4; something which is not available. You can calculate it yourself however, by dividing the total accrued interest over the total uploaded amount.

Furthermore, the figures presented in this page will not match the figures from the Profit & Loss section on the MyC4 website. The figures on the MyC4 site are figures as of today and change with each repayment and investment. The figures on this website are totals and don't keep track of repayments.
